Warranty, Sales, Shipping & Return Policy

JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp.

This Warranty, Sales, Shipping & Return Policy applies to all products sold by JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. (“JDM CaliMotor Sports,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing any product from JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp., the customer (“Buyer,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.

All products sold by JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. are used automotive parts, unless expressly stated otherwise in writing. Used automotive parts may show signs of normal wear, cosmetic imperfections, age, storage marks, or previous use. Our products are sold based on their functional condition, subject only to the limited warranty terms expressly stated in this policy.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.


1. Limited Warranty Coverage

Warranty coverage varies by product type. Unless otherwise stated in writing on the invoice, warranty coverage is limited as follows:

Mazda Rotary Engines, KL-ZE, 13B, and similar specialty engines Sold as-is; no warranty, no return, no exchange

The warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered to the customer, unless otherwise stated in writing.


2. Used Product Notice

All engines, transmissions, and automotive parts sold by JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. are used items. They are not new or remanufactured unless expressly stated in writing.

Used engines and transmissions may include external components for convenience only. These external components are not covered by warranty and are not guaranteed to be included, functional, complete, or compatible.

The Buyer is responsible for verifying fitment, compatibility, emissions compliance, and installation requirements before purchase and before installation.


3. Engine Warranty Coverage

The limited warranty on engines applies only to the following internal components:

  • Engine head
  • Engine block
  • Internal mechanical components directly related to compression and basic engine operation

The engine warranty does not cover external parts, bolt-on accessories, sensors, electrical components, accessories, emissions components, or cosmetic issues.

External parts may be included with the engine for convenience only and are not guaranteed.


4. Transmission Warranty Coverage

The limited warranty on automatic transmissions applies only to the internal transmission assembly.

The transmission warranty does not cover external parts or accessories, including but not limited to:

  • Sensors
  • Solenoids
  • Plugs
  • Switches
  • Torque converters
  • Starters
  • Clutches
  • Flywheels
  • Pressure plates
  • Mounts
  • Wiring
  • Any other external component not expressly included in writing

5. Parts Not Covered by Warranty

The following items are not covered under any warranty unless expressly stated in writing:

  • Intake manifolds
  • Exhaust manifolds
  • Power steering pumps
  • Carburetors
  • A/C compressors
  • Alternators
  • Distributors
  • Starters
  • Thermostats
  • Belts
  • Hoses
  • Clutches
  • Flywheels
  • Pulleys
  • Wiring harnesses
  • ECUs or computers
  • Turbochargers
  • Fuel injectors
  • Gaskets
  • Sensors
  • Solenoids
  • Plastic components
  • Emissions components
  • Cosmetic or appearance-related issues
  • Any part not specifically listed as covered

Warranty coverage is limited strictly to the functional performance of the covered internal component.


6. Installation Requirements

To qualify for warranty coverage, the engine, transmission, or part must be installed in the same condition in which it was delivered.

Installation must be performed by a certified mechanic at a professional automotive repair facility. Proof of professional installation may be required before any warranty claim is reviewed.

The Buyer must provide, upon request:

  • Original purchase receipt
  • Installation invoice
  • Mechanic’s diagnosis
  • Shop contact information
  • Photos and/or videos of the issue
  • Proof that the part was properly installed, maintained, and inspected

Warranty claims may be denied if the part was installed by a non-certified person, an unqualified installer, or outside a professional repair facility.


7. Buyer’s Responsibility Before Installation

Before installation, the Buyer and installer are responsible for inspecting the product and verifying that it is the correct part.

The installer must compare the purchased part with the original part before installation. JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. is not responsible for labor costs, installation costs, or damages resulting from installation of an incorrect part.

If the Buyer or installer believes the product is incorrect, damaged, incomplete, or requires repair before installation, the Buyer must contact JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. immediately and before making any repairs, modifications, disassembly, or installation attempts.

Any product that has been repaired, modified, disassembled, installed incorrectly, or altered without written authorization may be denied for warranty coverage.


8. Actions That Void the Warranty

The warranty will be void if any of the following occur:

  • The product is installed by a non-certified mechanic or non-professional shop
  • The product is modified, altered, opened, disassembled, or repaired without prior written authorization
  • Valve covers, oil pans, transmission casings, or similar components are removed without authorization
  • The engine or transmission is used in a project car, race car, or non-standard application
  • The product is swapped into a different chassis or used for a custom conversion
  • The product is used for racing, drifting, off-road abuse, competitive use, or high-performance use
  • The product is redlined, overheated, abused, neglected, or improperly maintained
  • The failure is caused by insufficient oil, fluid, coolant, lubrication, or improper fluid type
  • The product is damaged during installation
  • The product is damaged during transportation by the Buyer or the Buyer’s selected carrier
  • Internal parts are replaced with aftermarket or OEM parts without written authorization
  • The Buyer fails to report the issue within the required claim period
  • The Buyer cannot provide proof of professional installation and diagnosis

JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. does not accept returns or warranty claims on project cars, custom swaps, racing applications, or modified vehicles.


9. Items and Costs Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Labor charges
  • Installation costs
  • Removal costs
  • Diagnostic fees
  • Programming costs
  • Towing charges
  • Rental vehicle charges
  • Storage fees
  • Transportation charges
  • Shipping charges
  • Return freight
  • Lost time
  • Loss of use of vehicle
  • Loss of income
  • Inconvenience
  • Tune-ups
  • Adjustments
  • Belts
  • Hoses
  • Filters
  • Spark plugs
  • Fluids
  • Emission control devices
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic issues
  • Any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages

The warranty is limited only to the replacement of the covered product, subject to approval and availability.


10. Shipping Damage and Freight Claims

JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. is not responsible for damage caused by shipping carriers, freight companies, delivery companies, or third-party transportation providers.

The Buyer is responsible for inspecting the product and packaging immediately upon delivery and before signing any delivery documents.

If damage is visible, the Buyer must:

  1. Report the damage directly to the driver before accepting delivery.
  2. Clearly write the damage on the delivery receipt or bill of lading.
  3. Take photos of the packaging and product.
  4. Contact JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. immediately.

Failure to document shipping damage at the time of delivery may result in denial of any claim.

If a freight claim is available, JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. may assist the Buyer in filing a claim with the carrier. However, JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. is not responsible if the carrier denies, delays, or limits the claim.

Unless insurance is purchased or expressly included in writing, shipped items may not include shipping insurance.


11. Warranty Claim Procedure

All warranty-related issues must be reported within 5 days of receiving the product or within the applicable warranty period, whichever is earlier.

To submit a warranty claim, the Buyer must contact JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. and provide all requested documentation, including proof of purchase, installation invoice, mechanic diagnosis, photos, videos, and any other information required to evaluate the claim.

Claims are not processed immediately and may take up to 72 hours or longer depending on the complexity of the issue, availability of documentation, and product inspection requirements.

JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. reserves the right to inspect the product before approving or denying any warranty claim.


12. Warranty Remedy

If JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. determines that a product qualifies for warranty coverage, the sole remedy will be replacement of the covered product, subject to availability.

If a replacement is approved but the same product is not available, JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. may, at its discretion, offer a comparable replacement.

No cash refunds, labor reimbursements, shipping reimbursements, or additional compensation will be provided unless expressly agreed to in writing.

The Buyer is responsible for all return shipping, freight, transportation, and delivery costs related to warranty claims or replacement products.


13. Non-Transferable Warranty

Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser whose name appears on the invoice or sales receipt.

The warranty is not transferable under any circumstances.

If the receipt or invoice is not in the claimant’s name, the warranty claim may be denied.


14. Smog, Emissions, and Legal Compliance

JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. is not responsible for whether a product passes smog, emissions testing, inspection, registration, or any federal, state, local, or international legal requirement.

JDM engines and transmissions may be imported used parts and may be sold for off-road use, replacement use, or other lawful purposes depending on the Buyer’s jurisdiction.

The Buyer is solely responsible for verifying all applicable emissions laws, smog requirements, registration requirements, and legal compliance before purchasing and installing any product.

JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. is not responsible for failed smog tests, failed emissions inspections, registration denial, inspection fees, modification costs, or any legal compliance issue.


15. International Orders, Customs, Duties, and Refusals

For orders shipped outside the United States, the Buyer is solely responsible for all customs duties, taxes, import fees, inspection fees, brokerage fees, storage fees, return freight, and any other charges imposed by customs authorities or shipping providers.

If an international shipment is refused, rejected, seized, delayed, or returned by customs or any government authority, the Buyer remains responsible for all related costs.

JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. is not responsible for delays, penalties, customs decisions, or refusal of entry by any authority.


16. Sales Policy

All sales are final.

No refunds, returns, or exchanges will be accepted unless expressly approved in writing by JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Orders may only be canceled if they have not yet been shipped, prepared for shipment, or fulfilled.

A $25.00 fee may apply to canceled orders paid by check.


17. Refused, Returned, or Canceled Shipments

Any refused, returned, or unauthorized shipment may be subject to:

  • A 25% restocking fee based on the invoice amount
  • All original shipping charges
  • All return shipping charges
  • Any storage, carrier, handling, or recovery fees

Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Products must not be returned without prior written authorization from JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp.


18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, consequential, or other damages arising from the purchase, installation, use, failure, or inability to use any product.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal injury
  • Property damage
  • Loss of time
  • Loss of vehicle use
  • Lost income
  • Business interruption
  • Inconvenience
  • Rental vehicle charges
  • Towing charges
  • Hotel or accommodation charges
  • Labor charges
  • Diagnostic fees
  • Installation or removal costs
  • Any other related expense

The Buyer’s sole and exclusive remedy under this limited warranty is replacement of the covered product, if approved by JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp.


19. Website and Product Information Disclaimer

Product descriptions, fitment information, photos, videos, and website content are provided for general informational purposes only.

The Buyer is responsible for verifying product compatibility, fitment, condition, emissions compliance, and intended use before purchase and installation.

JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. is not responsible for errors in installation, improper service procedures, unsafe repairs, or vehicle damage resulting from incorrect installation or misuse.

Proper service and repair procedures are essential for safe vehicle operation and should only be performed by qualified professionals.


20. Right to Refuse Service

JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp. reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or decline transactions at its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law.


21. Acknowledgment

By purchasing from JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp., the Buyer acknowledges and agrees that:

  • The product is used unless stated otherwise in writing.
  • The Buyer has reviewed and accepted this policy before purchase.
  • Warranty coverage is limited and subject to the conditions stated above.
  • Labor, shipping, transportation, and consequential damages are not covered.
  • The Buyer is responsible for fitment, installation, smog, emissions, and legal compliance.
  • All sales are final unless otherwise approved in writing by JDM CaliMotor Sports Corp.
