Engine code: H23A Blue Top (JDM)

Configuration: Inline-4 DOHC 16-valve VTEC

Displacement: 2.3L (2258 cc)

Mileage: 45,000–65,000 miles (verified low-mileage JDM import)

Compression ratio: ~10.6:1 (factory spec; verified consistent compression across cylinders)

Fits:

  • Honda Prelude 2.2L DOHC (1997–2001, H22A4-equipped models; swap application)

The H23A Blue Top combines the larger displacement and strong torque of the H23 platform with a high-flow DOHC VTEC cylinder head. Producing up to approximately 200 PS in its original JDM application, it is an excellent option for performance-oriented Honda builds and H-series engine swaps.

This engine was not originally offered in North American Accord or Prelude models. Installation may require transferring the original intake, wiring harness, ECU, sensors, mounts, accessories, and other external components. Fitment is provided for reference only. We offer a 90-day limited replacement warranty for engines, covering head and block.
For automatic transmissions, 30-day limited replacement warranty.
For manual transmissions, 10-day startup warranty from date of purchase.
